Green Tara( Arya Tara) is the “Mother of all Buddhas.” it is said that, when historical Tara lived it was a time during Buddhism in which practitioners believed women must be re-born as a man in order to enlightened. Tara decided that she would become enlightened as a female practice to assist all sentient beings in the most difficult times. It is also believed that Green Tara and white Tara (Saptalochana Tara) were both born from the tears of Avalokitesvara (the bodhisattva of compassion) as he wept when he observes the negative actions of suffering beings. The Green and white tara made a commitment to assist Avalokitesvara to help suffering beings.

GREEN TARA Fine Gold Plated Statue

This is a traditional Nepalese handmade statue of Green tara gold plated in one of the best quality finishing.

It is made from a process – lost wax method which is one of the oldest methods of statue crafting in Nepal. This particular piece is sculpted from copper alloy, it has been submitted to an gold plating process and is done with one of the finest craftsmanship available in a traditional way considering even the smallest details on mind.
