Ekajati or Ekajata, also known as Māhacīna-tara,one of the 21 Taras, is one of the most powerful and fierce goddesses of Indo-Tibetan mythology. According to Tibetan legends, her right eye was pierced by the tantric master Padmasambhava so that she could much more effectively help him subjugate Tibetan demons. Ekajati is also known as ‘Blue Tara’. She is generally considered one of the three principal protectors of the Nyingma lineage, along with Rāhula and Vajrasādhu (Dorje Legpa).

EKAJATI Antique Statue

This is a Nepalese handmade statue of Shakyamuni buddha in antique traditional style.

It is made from a process lost wax method which is one of the oldest & finest methods of statue crafting in Nepal. This particular piece is know as half gold plating on a copper finish, and the style is crafted to look and feel antique with abrasion touch.
